It’s that time of year again when the headlands fill with spectators looking to catch a glimpse of the passing flotilla of whales as they migrate.

How lucky are we to live in the Northern rivers with plenty of perfect vantage points and headlands, Lighthouse Beach Ballina , Pat Morton Lookout Lennox Head and Cape Byron in Byron Bay being some of the most popular with tourists and locals to snap photos as they pass by.

I was lucky enough to head out recently with Dean and Gabrielle from Out of the Blue Adventures and was rewarded with some spectacular images. Here’s a few for you to enjoy.
